It was agreed at the 2014 annual meeting to establish a “Sunshine Committee” to welcome new people to the Hillcrest IX neighborhood when an existing home has sold. 

A committee member or members will greet the new neighbor in person and present them with a basket containing “goodies” and information  about the HOA and the neighborhood.  The idea is to foster friendliness and involvement which is critical to maintaining our self-run HOA and keeping our dues low. 

The basket will contain a copy or our newsletter with the names of the current board members and their phone numbers, a copy of the CCandR's, coupons from “Mom and Pop” businesses nearby who wish to advertise to new people, a copy of the Tattler, as well as other “goodies”.
