Board & Architectural Control Committee

Many exterior changes to properties require homeowners to submit an architectural application for review and approval by the Architectural Control Committee. Per the CC&R’s Section 5:  ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE:  "The Architectural Control Committee shall be composed of the Board of Directors. A majority vote is needed for approval of plans." The Board of Directors, acting as the Architectural Control Committee reviews architectural applications as part of the monthly Board meeting.

If you are considering exterior improvements to your property, please review the CC&R’s Architectural Control Sections 4-6. Both the CC&R’s and applications are posted on our website for your convenience, or you may request a paper copy from any Board member. Although not exhaustive, the architectural application lists common improvements needing architectural review. The purpose of the architectural review process is to ensure that exterior improvements are made in harmony with existing structures, height of structures, and location with respect to topography and finished grade elevation among other requirements (CC&R's Section 4(a). If you are unsure whether your improvement project requires approval, please send an email or letter to the Board, with a description of the improvement project and materials, as well as the intended use of the improvement.

If you are anticipating or contemplating an exterior improvement, the Board encourages you to submit your architectural application (or inquiry) well in advance so that it can be placed on the meeting agenda for discussion. Your attendance at the meeting will ensure that your improvement project is thoroughly discussed and all questions are answered. Having your plans reviewed and approved in advance will ensure that you can commence your project without delay.

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!
